Random thoughts of a Mommy
As I stood and watched the boy at his roller skating call today, I couldn't help but wonder if I was helping him by giving him training in something that I as a child was forced to fall through with nothig more than a "Your fine, get up," or if I was in fact making him a pansy. For Gods sake, the boy already wears glasses and only enjoys art and playing on the computer, am I feeding into his "beat me up" attitude. Alas, I love all those things about him, but I hope he can make it successfully through these years of hel we frce our children to participate in (otherwise known as "school"). You know, I still said "Get up, your fine." And I truly hold the boy to high standadrs so I think he will be good.

Jerusalem Cricket

I just wanted to let the world know my cryptonite. This creature makes me stop dead in my tracks. I am unable to get within 3 feet of it out of shear terror. I can tell you that I know this is stupid, in fact this bug is harmless. I still, however, hate them. My mama always said that hate is a strong word and to use cation when using it; this bug gets hate infinity times 2 whatever you say.
It's like, you know....
Well, kids, its that time again....Bridget Blog Time (Imagine The Price is Right music playing in the backround). I am thinking about ghosts....to be fair, I am watching ghost shows on the boob tube. Anywho, my lovely hubby calls and we are discussing our own days and I make mention of something cool I saw the afore mentioned boob tube. My statement was received with a short, squatty "SNORT." Well, snort back at ya brother, or maybe even a cold, hard frut. I, for one of many, believe in ghosts and am not attempting to make you a believer. THIS MY DEAR HUBS IS A NO SNORT ZONE, maybe a frut or 2, but never a snort. I guess I could leave the Hubinator out of future ghost talks (in his dreams), but what kind of relationship is that? Listen folks, I have little to no life. I spend every day at home with children, by choice, but true none the less. So, if I need to indulge in some random waste of time TV watching that so be it. On that same note, if I choose to have ghost talk be a part of one of the few adult convos I have a day than I shall request no snorting. Will the Hubarito oblige? Only time will tell...

A Good Woman, Better Than She Even Knew...
Today we suffered a great loss...a wonderful woman has moved on to a greater place. She will be missed...she is missed. After it is all said and done, I cry for myself, I am selfish and I can admit that because to cry selfishly for such a great woman can't be considered wrong. I love you Patti, I miss you and I will look for you when I reach the other side (and thank you for letting me be with you until the end, a great man once told me about privilages, and if thats not a privilage and an honor than I don't know what is. Thank you for giving me what I needed...I hope I did the same for you, even in the smallest of ways.)
DO NOT STAND ON MY GRAVE AND WEEP (an Irish blessing)
Do not stand on my grave weep,
I am not there...I do not sleep.
I am the thousand winds that blow...
I am the diamonds that glints on snow...
I am sunlight on ripened grain...
I am the gental autumn rain.
When you waken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of the gental birds in circling flight......
I am the soft star that shines at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry-
I am not there...I did not die...

Private Investigator?
Well, folks, it has been proven that I could be a P.I. I have found out an insane amount of information from the Internet about one family that I like to keep tabs on. All free info, no paying for background checks. Let me give some vague examples:
legal first name changes
month of military leave
divorce
family trees
and much, much more.
So look out people, get on my bad side and I will look up all your information and use it against you in court someday. Remember, I don't work anymore and can be quite crafty on the net. As a side note, if you need information on an individual you might ask for my expertise.

And porn wins again.....
Well people, it is time for my first angry blog rant. I am tired of the people of this world treating me like trash because I breast feed. Guess what? You suck people. If they go to a movie or watch TV and see someones breast, yes breast not boob a-hole, then everything is just fine and dandy. There are websites devoted to calling out every time they see a breast in a movie. Imagine if you will, me at Water World on a ride and my breast popped out of my swimsuit. Men and boys alike were going crazy. Seriously, I was whistled at for the rest of the day every time one of the guys that were there saw me. Obviously, seeing someones breast is awesome right? RIGHT, but only if it is not attached to a baby. Situation numero dos: I am at the mall, outside the slowest entrance possible, in between Burlington and Dillard's. I am sitting on a park bench and a chilly day covered in a blanket. True that I was breast feeding a hungry 2 month old. A man and his girlfriend get out of their car and make out a bit and then start walking towards the door. The entire time he is eyeing me from the side of his eye. He decides at the exact moment that he walks by me that he should turn to his girlfriend and say "I can't believe she is doing that in public. That is gross..." All while looking at me. Oh, that was a shining moment in my life. It is totally fair for me to get mean comments for using my breasts for the actual reason that I have them! I mean what was I thinking? That's like looking my new Xbox and knowing how awesome it is but not using it because it is too pretty. I couldn't possibly even take it out of the box. What? How dare you ask me to use my brain, this is just to attract men. Thanks a lot idiots of the world. Hey, here's an idea, how about you people get a clue? That sounds awesome. And another thing, I deserve to go out. I am making a huge life sacrifice by choosing to breast feed my baby. It isn't easy, in fact it sucks most of the time even without the rude comments and shifty eyes. It is hot and sweaty, and the baby bites and scratches me. I can't ever leave the baby alone for more than 2 hours because she will need to eat. I can't breast pump because she doesn't need enough regular food to supplement my breast yet. Now, this is my choice. And I choose this knowing that I probably won't get to go out until 7-8 months and I stand behind me decision, however, that doesn't mean I should be frowned upon if I do have to go somewhere other than the grocery store.
Secondly, breast feeding is good for baby and me. Breast feeding helps the uterus shrink after birth. If you want to see less women with mommy jeans and fat fronts then encourage breast feeding. I have a much lower chance of breast and ovarian cancer. And for someone like me with a 20% higher chance of developing diabetes in life due to being a gestational diabetic, I love that it lowers my chance of type 2 diabetes. It also really helps the baby fight diseases not the least of which is obesity. So, fat ass, don't be mad at me for doing the best for my babies, go talk to your mom.
Finally, I shouldn't even have to justify why this is alright.
